Head of Accounting

A hyper-growth, Series C AI platform backed by elite Tier-1 VCs ($150M+ raised) is expanding its central leadership team. Building category-defining infrastructure for enterprise AI workforce orchestration, the business is carving out its inaugural Head of Accounting seat to sit directly alongside executive finance leadership.

This is a high-velocity, high-impact mandate for an operational finance builder. Positioned at the bedrock of the company's financial infrastructure, you will bring accounting completely in-house from scratch, owning month-end close, revenue recognition, ERP implementation, and audit readiness as the platform scales globally.

• In-House Infrastructure & ERP Implementation: Transition accounting functions from external vendors in-house, evaluating, selecting, and deploying the company's inaugural enterprise ERP (Net Suite) and order-to-cash architecture.
• Audit Readiness & Revenue Recognition: Establish rigorous month-end close cycles, ASC 606 revenue recognition frameworks, and internal controls to lead the company through its first external audit.
• Financial Controls & Compliance: Own day-to-day accounting operations across corporate compliance, tax, payroll, and global entity management while driving cash flow optimization.
• Executive & Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner directly with Strategic Finance and GTM leadership to translate complex, usage-based commercial deals into compliant revenue structures and decision-ready financial data.

• The Foundation: 10+ years of total experience combining a Big 4 CPA audit foundation with proven in-house accounting leadership inside a fast-scaling tech environment.
• The Systems & Technical Specialist: Deep fluency in ASC 606, multi-entity consolidation, and hands-on experience driving a 0-to-1 ERP implementation (Net Suite) and first-time audit preparation.
• The High-Grit Builder: Thrives in autonomous, high-pace environments with no tolerance for ego. Unafraid to roll up their sleeves from journal entries to board-level reporting, operating with full ownership on-site in San Francisco.
