PAYROLL MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced and driven Payroll Manager to lead and enhance the payroll operations for a well-established healthcare organization. This role requires an individual with a strong background in payroll systems, compliance, and team leadership, who can embrace technological advancements and process improvements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and mentor a team of 5 payroll specialists to ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations.

- Oversee payroll processing for the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and labor regulations.

- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance departments to align compensation policies, benefits deductions, and reporting practices.

- Review, audit, and approve payroll reports and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.

- Maintain and optimize payroll systems, recommending and implementing software upgrades as needed.

- Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and concerns in a timely manner.

- Ensure timely submission of payroll-related filings and reports to regulatory agencies.

- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices to keep the organization compliant.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- A minimum of six years of progressive payroll experience, including at least three years in a management role.

- Experience working in healthcare industry.

- Proficiency with the Workday Payroll module is required.

- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience in integrated accounting software.
