Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated, contract Staff Accountant to join the accounting team 100% onsite in San Francisco, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with financial data, solving problems, and contributing to the overall financial success of an organization. What You'll DoAs a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting critical accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger transactions.

Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and accounting records.

Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting activities as needed.

Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Partner with Finance and operational teams to support business initiatives and improve processes.

Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analyses.
