Initialized is a generalist seed‑stage venture firm with over $3B in AUM. The team works closely with technical, ambitious founders and backs them early as they build enduring companies.

Initialized is focused on investing across AI, robotics, space, energy, defense, and crypto. The firm has backed companies including Coinbase, Instacart, Flexport, and Rippling and spends a lot of time thinking about how new tools, especially AI, are changing how companies get built.

We’re hiring an Operations Associate to assist the management of our SF office and support two partners. You’ll be the person who keeps their partners on‑time and on‑task and keeps the SF office running smoothly. This generalist role blends office operations, classic EA support, and special projects.

You will:
Office Operations & Workplace (35%)
  • Assist in running day‑to‑day SF office and remote team operations: supplies/equipment, snacks, mail, vendor coordination, in‑person meetings
  • Be a point person for facilities, landlord, cleaners, and other service providers
  • Create a great in‑office experience: greeting guests, setting up rooms, and keeping the space tidy and functional
  • Track and distribute company swag
Executive/Administrative Support to Partners (50%)
  • Own the calendar for two partners: schedule, reschedule, and protect time across internal, investor, and external meetings (and across multiple time zones)
  • Arrange travel (largely domestic) and provide clear, simple itineraries
  • Ensure partners timeliness and readiness to meetings, events, and engagements
Special Administrative/Event Projects (15%)
  • Assist in event logistics and research as well as be on the ground support
  • Jump into one‑off projects for any Initialized team
Who You Are
  • Fast, detail‑obsessed operator who notices what others miss and follows through.
  • Previously an EA, PA, office manager, or operations assistant (startup or fast‑paced environment a plus).
  • Comfortable context‑switching across operations, executive support, office details, and personal tasks in the same hour.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work with limited structure and ambiguity.
  • Professional, discreet, and comfortable interacting with executives, investors, and external partners.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and available to work in‑office.

Compensation: 85,000 – 100,000 USD per year (San Francisco, CA).
