About One Crew
One Crew is transforming how America's paving contractors build the roads and parking lots we all rely on—replacing outdated spreadsheets and guesswork with modern software that drives accuracy, efficiency, and profit.
Since launching in 2022, we've built a customer base spanning the US and Canada with proven product-market fit and secured Series A funding to fuel our next stage of growth. Now with the help of our seasoned leadership team (CEO: ex-Bain, CTO: ex-Google), we're scaling aggressively—and we need someone exceptional to help keep the engine running.
The opportunity:
We're a fast-moving, well-funded startup and every person on our team matters. As our first Operations Associate, you'll be at the center of it all—keeping our office humming, our CEO organized, and our team supported so we can stay focused on building the future of the paving industry.
This is an entry-level role built for someone early in their career who wants to get their hands on everything and learn what it really takes to build and scale a startup. You'll work directly with our CEO and leadership team, owning the operational backbone of our day-to-day while growing into broader responsibilities over time.
There's no junior work here—there's just important work. The person who thrives in this role will take pride in running a tight ship, will anticipate needs before they arise, and will treat every task as an opportunity to learn.
What You'll OwnOffice Management (30–40%)
- Own the day-to-day operations of our FiDi office—supplies, vendors, facilities, and anything else that keeps the team comfortable and productive
- Be the go-to person for anything office-related: if something's broken, out of stock, or needs to happen, you make it happen
- Help create an environment where our team loves coming in
Scheduling, Logistics & Events (30–40%)
- Manage complex scheduling and calendar coordination across the company
- Own travel logistics—flights, hotels, ground transportation—for team members company-wide
- Plan and execute team events, offsites, customer visits, and industry events from start to finish
- Keep all the moving pieces organized and on track
CEO & Leadership Support (20–30%)
- Serve as a direct extension of the CEO, helping with administrative tasks, research, and whatever is needed to make the leadership team more effective
- Help manage priorities, track follow-ups, and keep things from falling through the cracks
- Over time, take on broader operational responsibilities including revenue operations, reporting, and cross-functional projects as you grow into the role
- You're early in your career and hungry to learn by doing—not sitting on the sidelines
- You get energy from making things run smoothly and take pride in the details
- You're resourceful, proactive, and don't wait to be told what needs to get done
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and no two days look the same
- You want to be inside a well-funded, high-growth startup from an early stage and grow with it
- You're excited about the opportunity to eventually move into a broader operations or business operations role
- You need a rigid structure and a clearly defined playbook to operate
- You're not excited about rolling up your sleeves on the unglamorous stuff
- You want a 9-to-5 with predictable, consistent work
- You're not genuinely interested in startups and the chaos that comes with building something from scratch
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Scrappy, resourceful, and able to figure things out independently
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco and work in-office 5 days per week
- Prior internship or work experience in an office, operations, or administrative setting
- Experience coordinating events or travel logistics
- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Hub Spot, and AI tools like Claude
- Genuine interest in startups, SaaS, or the construction/trades industries
- A front-row seat to building a fast-growing, well-funded startup from an early stage
- Direct mentorship from our CEO and leadership team
- Real ownership and responsibility from day one—no coffee fetching, just meaningful work
- A clear path to grow into a broader operations role as the company scales
- Competitive early-career compensation with early-stage equity
- Unlimited PTO
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage (most options 100% covered)
- Office perks: snacks, weekly lunch, monthly team events
