Public Safety Dispatcher

Position: Public Safety Dispatcher (f/t)
Responsible for the general operation of the UCSF Communication Center, which
 consists of the following:  process telephone calls for 911 police, fire medical
 and non-emergency services; input information into a Computer Aided Dispatch
 (CAD) System; input data into the various Law Enforcement Telecommunications
 Systems and interpret the printout information once it is obtained; operate a
 multi-channel radio system under emergency as well as non-emergency
 circumstances, adhering to FCC rules and regulations in the course of its
 operation and ability to audibly monitor radio traffic; operate a hand-held
 two-way radio for communications; maintain various logs; process various alarms;
 and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Information

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based
 on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors
 including your work experience and internal equity within this position
 classification  positions that are represented by a labor union,
 placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective
 bargaining agreement.
