Compensation

Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of a vibrant 6,000 sq. ft. office in San Francisco. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic workplace environment, coordinate operational activities, and contribute to a productive and positive office culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient workplace experience.
- Maintain office organization, inventory, and overall workspace ambiance.
- Coordinate snacks, beverages, meals, office supplies, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee cleaning, maintenance, movers, storage, and other service providers to ensure a clean and functional environment.
- Troubleshoot office issues and independently coordinate solutions.
- Receive and distribute packages and deliveries efficiently.
- Develop, document, and continually improve office processes and workflows.
- Coordinate office events, team initiatives, and workplace programs to foster a positive office culture.
- Support operational projects and provide administrative assistance as the role evolves based on organizational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an office manager, workplace coordinator, or in related operations roles.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage office functions and troubleshoot issues independently.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments is preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Vendor management and negotiation experience.
- Proficiency with Slack, Google Workspace (including Google Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite, and Mac OS.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools for research and productivity enhancement.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and resourcefulness in previous roles.
