Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible administrative, executive support, or operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and office technology.
  • Commitment to the YMCA's mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, fundraising, education, or community service organization.
  • Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, or fundraising software.
Summary

The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the Presidio YMCA team, providing administrative and operational support to the Branch Executive, branch leadership, and the overall administration of the branch. This role serves as the organizational backbone of the branch, helping ensure daily operations run efficiently while supporting programs, fundraising efforts, community partnerships, and member engagement.

This position is ideal for an organized, proactive professional who is passionate about community impact and interested in building a career in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, or social service. In addition to providing executive and administrative support, the Administrative Coordinator will have meaningful opportunities to contribute to donor stewardship, community outreach, member experience, and branch initiatives that strengthen the communities we serve.

The Presidio YMCA is recognized for its commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, as well as its leadership in outdoor education and bicycle education. While this position is primarily administrative in nature, the successful candidate will play an important supporting role in advancing these mission-driven programs and the broader work of the YMCA.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Branch Executive and branch leadership team.
  • Manage calendars, meetings, schedules, and administrative priorities.
  • Prepare agendas, reports, presentations, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate travel, registrations, and meeting logistics.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive organizational information.
  • Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
