Mission Readiness Associate 2 - Autonomous Vehicle Operations

Pay: $34.00 per hour

We are hiring Mission Readiness Associates to support autonomous vehicle operations in San Francisco.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on preparing vehicles for daily missions, following detailed technical procedures, supporting vehicle readiness, and responding to operational issues as they arise.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable working around vehicles and technology, and able to follow detailed procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare autonomous vehicles for daily missions and operational use.
- Follow detailed mission preparation procedures, including software launches, configuration checks, and data capture.
- Complete vehicle readiness checks before vehicles are cleared for operation.
- Identify and respond to operational or technical issues while following established safety procedures.
- Assist technicians with basic vehicle and equipment tasks as needed.
- Support basic wiring checks, part replacements, fluid changes, and other hands-on tasks.
- Manage multiple operational priorities during assigned shifts.
- Assist with vehicle recovery and other operational scenarios.
- Communicate clearly with team members and cross-functional partners.
- Follow established procedures and maintain accurate operational documentation.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and vehicle readiness throughout each shift.
- Experience in fleet operations, vehicle operations, testing, technical operations, automotive work, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred.
- Comfortable following detailed technical procedures and checklists.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm during high-pressure situations.
- Comfortable performing basic hands-on mechanical or technical tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required background, motor vehicle record, and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and moving for the majority of the shift.
- Willing and able to travel locally and nationally up to 30% as needed.
- Must be able to work on-site in the San Francisco area.
Candidates must be available for one of the following schedules:
- 7:00 AM-3:30 PM | Saturday-Wednesday
- 6:00 AM-2:30 PM | Tuesday-Saturday
- 3:00 PM-11:30 PM | Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday
- 11:00 PM-7:30 AM | Sunday-Thursday
