This position is supporting cross‑functional teams, including Finance, Programs, and Operations, similar to responsibilities outlined in internal Grants & Contracts roles.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, edit, and refine grant proposals, grant amendments, award letters, and narrative reports.
- Manage timelines for applications and reporting, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.
- Conduct compliance reviews to ensure proposals and expenditures align with funder requirements and legal frameworks (IRS, foundation regulations, funding restrictions).
- Ensure adherence to legal, financial, and organizational guidelines for grantmaking and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and complete grant records, budgets, approvals, and reporting files across cloud‑based systems, similar to internal practices using Salesforce and organized electronic files.
- Analyze grant data to monitor progress, risk exposure, and compliance obligations.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage grant data, track workflows, and maintain database accuracy.
- Use Asana to maintain task lists, timelines, and team action items.
- Communicate effectively via Slack and Outlook
, managing high‑volume communication and coordinating with Finance, Program, and Operations teams. - Support process improvements in grant workflows, documentation, and compliance monitoring.
- Prepare compliance, financial, and programmatic reports in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Assist in compiling necessary supporting documents (budgets, policies, financial statements, program metrics) for reporting cycles.
- Conduct analytical reviews of grants, including financial reconciliations, progress metrics, and audit‑ready documentation.
- 7+ years of experience in grant management, grant writing, or grants compliance.
- Demonstrated experience supporting compliance, due diligence, or legal/regulatory reporting for grants or contracts.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort reviewing complex budgets and compliance requirements.
- Advanced writing skills for crafting compelling, clear, and accurate grant narratives.
- Proficiency with Salesforce
, Asana
, Slack
, Microsoft Office
, and other cloud‑based collaboration tools. - Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in nonprofit, philanthropic, education, public sector, or research environments is strongly preferred.
