SUMMARYThe Strategy Analyst will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area (hybrid) and will report to the West Coast Director of Development. The Analyst will provide key qualitative analysis and presentation skills to our current analytics team. The role will work on analyses related to large‑scale masterplans in the pre‑development phase throughout the Bay Area. The role will need to synthesize, guide and present pro‑forma and other financial modeling exercises in a fast‑paced, client focused environment.
The Analyst will be responsible for conducting and presenting market research across multiple submarkets, as well as researching emerging industry trends. Strong experience and/or understanding of real estate deal structuring is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- We are seeking a Strategy Analyst to join our Development team. This role is ideal for a highly capable and analytical real estate professional with 3‑5 years of experience in a development, market research or acquisitions role.
- Knowledge of residential and master‑plan projects preferred.
- Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Review financial model results and develop recommendations based on insights.
- Draft and present financial information clearly to executive and non‑financial stakeholders in deck and memo formats, including developing formats and graphics from scratch.
- Conduct and present market research, including quarterly and monthly reports, using a range of sources such as CoStar, brokerage reports and public data.
- Develop executive‑level communications and strategy materials and coordinate strategic initiatives for leadership.
- Compile and distribute relevant publication, articles and market information.
- Work in collaboration with the team on each project.
- Conduct market research on product types, rent and sales comps, and feasibility analysis to support development assumptions.
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team‑oriented relationships with co‑workers, supervisors, managers, clients and other as required for the job.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and ability to think strategically about presenting results and outputs.
- Strong market research skills, experience with CoStar and other real estate research tools a plus.
- Strong written and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Google equivalents.
- Strong understanding of underwriting, entitlements, and housing and economic development policy.
- Pro‑forma analysis, development underwriting, knowledge of the design/development process.
- Communicating graphic ideas clearly and quickly.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear and concise communicator who can summarize complex financial data for non‑financial stakeholders.
- The ability to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure & effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
