Role Overview
Our client is building AI environments and operational infrastructure for some of the world’s top research labs. Backed by over $20M in funding from leading investors including Sequoia, they are scaling quickly and looking for a rare kind of operator: someone who can think strategically, execute relentlessly, and build the internal systems that power a world-class company.
This is a Founding Operations role working directly with the founders at the center of the business.
Responsibilities- Build and own internal operational systems (onboarding, CRM, process automation, reporting).
- Design scalable workflows that support both internal execution and client success.
- Work directly with founders on high-priority, ambiguous problems across the business.
- Drive cross‑functional execution across engineering, product, and customer‑facing teams.
- Identify operational bottlenecks early and implement solutions with speed and precision.
- Support client engagements as needed, ensuring a world‑class experience for top labs.
- Operate as a true generalist. Whatever the company needs, you take responsibility for it.
This role is built for someone with exceptional agency and a founder‑level mindset. Ideal backgrounds include:
- Former founders or early startup operators.
- VC or investing professionals who want to build, not just advise.
- Business‑minded Forward‑Deployed Engineers or technical operators.
- High‑ownership generalists with strong execution and systems instincts.
- 2+ years of experience in startups, operations, consulting, VC, or technical execution roles.
- Ability to operate at both the strategic level and in the details.
- Extremely high ownership. You don’t wait for instructions.
- Comfort building systems from zero and iterating quickly.
- Technical fluency: able to “vibe code,” work with APIs, connect data/tools, and solve problems independently.
- Strong judgment, speed, and a bias toward action.
This is not a 9–5 role. The team is building quickly, with high standards and real urgency. We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to put in the hours (often 60+ per week) when needed, and who thrives in an elite, high‑performance environment.
