The Business Development Manager will play a key role in analyzing market opportunities, evaluating competitors, and supporting strategic decisions that drive platform growth. The ideal candidate is analytical, business-oriented, and capable of turning market insights into actionable strategies to improve service offerings, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and market opportunities within the on-demand home services sector in San Francisco.
- Analyze market size, customer demand patterns, and service trends to support strategic decision-making and platform expansion.
- Identify high-demand and low-demand service categories and recommend strategies to balance service offerings for maximum customer satisfaction.
- Use data analytics to assess customer behavior, peak service hours, and the feasibility of offering extended or 24/7 service availability.
- Review and analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Gather, document, and organize business requirements from internal stakeholders to support product and service development.
- Conduct market research and provide data-driven insights to inform platform growth strategies and service diversification.
- Support the optimization of internal workflows, team collaboration, and communication strategies for smoother operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations to support new service launches and expansion into additional service areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, strategy, market research, or operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market data and business insights.
- Experience conducting competitor analysis and market research.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis tools, and business intelligence platforms is a plus.
