About the roleRippling is looking for a sharp, highly-motivated, and innately curious Contracts Associate. In this role, you partner closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Business Development and Procurement to support Rippling’s commercial operations and help the company scale and close deals efficiently.
You’ll manage a high volume of commercial agreements, help move deals forward, and contribute to the tools and processes that allow the business to operate quickly and consistently. This role sits at the intersection of legal, operations, and GTM functions and is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, working cross-functionally, and learning how commercial contracting works at scale.
The role will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Commercial and works closely with other members of the Legal and Compliance team.
What you will do- Serve as a point of contact for Sales and Procurement on contract-related questions and intake requests.
- Draft, review, and help negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including customer, vendor, and partnership contracts.
- Support a high-volume commercial pipeline by triaging requests and helping prioritize matters efficiently.
- Assist in developing and maintaining contracting playbooks, policies, and internal guidance materials.
- Help build upon processes that support commercial relationships and common agreement types, such as NDAs, terms of service, and partnership agreements.
- Support the design and roll‑out of self‑service tools that enable business teams to move quickly while staying within approved frameworks.
- Track and help analyze metrics related to deal velocity, contract cycles, and negotiation trends to help improve contracting cycles.
- 1-3 years experience in contract management, legal operations, paralegal work, or a similar role. Experience at a fast‑paced tech or SaaS company, and with CRM/CLM tools (Salesforce, Ironclad, etc.) are pluses.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems in new areas.
- Team player mentality, and a drive to take initiative and be curiosity about how our company and business works.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self‑starting, and comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
