Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Regional Operations Director, 2 Hour Learning - $200,000/year USD

You step onto a campus and immediately catch what others miss — the ceiling tile that's come loose and hasn't been recorded, the HVAC return making noise for days, the landscaping contractor who completed half the checklist yet submitted a complete invoice. You don't wait for feedback from a parent. You fix what's broken before it becomes visible. That awareness defines this position.

2 Hour Learning runs high-quality K–12 campuses where tuition-paying families expect an environment that is secure, reliable, and visitor-ready at all times — not only when events are scheduled. You will maintain that expectation throughout the Northwest: headquartered at the San Francisco Bay Area campus, with frequent visits to locations in CA, WA, NV, UT, OR, and  oversight determines whether a school maintains its premium feel or slowly declines between leadership reviews.

Year one emphasizes standardization and vendor performance improvement — defining operational readiness, establishing inspection routines, removing underperforming contractors, and training Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists on sustainable processes. Once the region expands and your systems mature, the position transitions into ongoing regional management: you become the operator the organization relies on during new openings, critical incidents, or standard revisions. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role.

If you prefer to oversee operations remotely through reports, this position will not suit you. If you want full responsibility for ensuring 25+ campuses meet premium standards daily — with the autonomy to execute that mission — continue reading.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Performing scheduled site inspections across Northwest locations using documented benchmarks for cleanliness, HVAC systems, safety protocols, security measures, signage, grounds maintenance, furnishings, and visitor readiness — and ensuring corrective actions are completed and confirmed
  • Managing facility incidents and urgent requests, coordinating contractor response, and closing work orders only after on‑site verification of resolution (urgent response within 24 hours, standard requests within one week)
  • Overseeing local contractor compliance with service‑level agreements, terminating vendors who consistently under deliver, renegotiating contracts, and conducting direct accountability discussions regarding quality and pricing
  • Establishing a consistent weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure uniform execution of procedures rather than ad‑hoc problem solving
  • Managing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC system updates, interior design upgrades, landscaping enhancements, AV and network infrastructure) on time and within budget while minimizing student impact
  • Documenting organization‑wide standards and AI‑supported procurement frameworks (utilizing ticketing platforms, IoT sensors and predictive maintenance tools, and centralized vendor management) to ensure consistency across all current and future campuses
  • Delivering concise weekly written updates covering regional facility quality, contractor performance, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Operating remotely from an office — this position demands consistent on‑site presence at the Bay Area campus and 30–50% travel time visiting regional schools throughout CA, WA, NV, UT, OR, and
  • Leading ground‑up campus design or managing new construction projects — capital development is handled by a separate team
  • Creating enterprise procurement policy without field input — your standards emerge from direct site observation
  • Working within established organizational charts with direct authority over all relevant personnel — you will achieve accountability through clarity, documented follow‑through, and insistence on specific vendor commitments rather than ambiguous estimates
  • Tolerating a culture where campuses are only visitor‑ready before scheduled leadership tours — recurring problems are investigated for root causes, not simply re‑reported
  • Operating in constant crisis mode — your inspection schedule and predictive maintenance systems are designed to…
