About the Team
New Verticals is an exciting team at Door Dash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant deliveries (e.g., Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail).
Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team has three major mandates to onboard merchants, fulfill orders with speed & accuracy and improve logistics. We achieve this by identifying efficiencies, building product tooling and launching operational processes will own metrics, pull operational & product levers and drive impactful results across Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail businesses.
About the RoleWe are looking to build out our team with an Associate who will focus on strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Fulfillment pod. You will lead scoping, go‑to‑market, and iteration of cutting‑edge product features to help Door Dash improve order quality across Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. You will work on improving Dasher tooling & technology to make them more efficient in store.
Your work will be highly visible, impactful, and involve partnering with Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in the Fulfillment, Logistics & Catalog group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual‑contributor position.
- Analyze: Use data to drive business decisions, talk to customers, unpack feedback, and propose improvement opportunities.
- Strategize: Own and deliver on improving key metrics. Create quarterly and annual plans that push the business forward and align with product capabilities. Help identify opportunities for enhancing existing product offerings and improving delivery quality.
- Lead: Lead cross‑functional work streams of Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers to develop best‑in‑class product features that enhance the quality of New Vertical deliveries.
- Own: Own problems end‑to‑end, take ownership of the products and business lines you are responsible for. Solve ambiguous problems and motivate teammates to excel.
- You’re analytical. You have a data‑driven mindset, are comfortable using Excel, visualizing data (SQL experience is a bonus).
- You have 1‑3+ years of experience. Ideally in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food & beverage, or high‑growth startups.
- You solve problems from first principles. Think innovatively and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
- You’re comfortable at all levels. Operate at 10,000 feet and 1 foot; get into weeds while also thinking long‑term and inspiring a team.
- You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
Actual compensation within the pay range below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
$74,800 – $110,000 USD (United States, including Illinois and Colorado).

Paid time off details: for salaried roles, flexible paid time off/vacation plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year; for hourly roles, vacation accrues approximately 1 hour per 25.97 hours worked and sick time accrues 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
