Chief Of Staff

Boutique venture platform focused on fund of funds and co-investment opportunities, backed by a tight-knit group of family offices and investors, is looking for a Chief of Staff to support its Managing Partner. This is a rare opportunity to be the right hand to a solo GP building an influential community of emerging managers and investors from the ground up, with real room to grow into a more senior role over time.

In this role, you'll streamline day-to-day operations (email and communications management), help source and track new investment and co-investment opportunities, and own community-building initiatives, from investor dinners to the firm's growing digital platform for its network. Someone who is a self-starter with strong organizational instincts, genuinely curious about the fund of funds and alternative asset landscape, and energized by relationship-building and community work.

This is an in-office role based in San Francisco. 130-180K DOE (with flexibility beyond for the right candidate) + health benefits, 401K with matching, and flexible PTO.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Managing Partner to streamline his day-to-day operations, including managing email and communications, supporting diligence and co-investment activity, and tracking ongoing initiatives.
  • Assist in sourcing, tracking, and supporting new fund managers and co-investment opportunities, and help coordinate pipeline management and facilitate introductions.
  • Grow, nurture, and leverage the firm's network of managers, LPs, co-investors, and family offices.
  • Support the firm's family office and LP network with value-add programming, educational content, and curated introductions.
  • Organize and execute events designed to strengthen the firm's community.
  • Manage the firm's social presence and support content and programming related to investor communications.
  • Serve as a liaison between the firm and its LPs, ensuring proactive relationship management.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in high-growth finance, investment operations, fund platforms, business development, or a similar role.
  • Self-starter who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and tackling new challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated track record of building and nurturing relationships.
  • Genuine passion for the alternative investment landscape and network/community building.
  • Incredibly organized, with the ability to follow up quickly and juggle multiple priorities with ease.
  • Strong interest in learning about fund of funds, co-investments, and the broader structure of alternative assets.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, constantly evolving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
