ACQ Advisory Practice Careers

Role

As the Director of Business Workshops, you'll teach entrepreneurs the  sales and marketing frameworks from the stage and the round-tables, alongside the finance and operations context that makes them work. You'll present to a room full of founders, then go deeper to help them unpack their specific business constraints.

The frameworks and the access are already ours; your job is to make them land. The hard part is holding the room, making complex frameworks simple, answering hard questions in real time, and then helping a founder see what they cannot see about their own business.

Events run two days: a presentation-heavy first day teaching the full room from the stage, then a more intimate second day going deeper with business owners around the table. Between events, the work is studying, researching incoming cohorts, answering founder follow-ups, running a retrospective on the last event, and continuing to iterate on the format and materials. The stage is the visible part;

the preparation and iteration around it are most of the job.

You'll present workshops on stage within your first 30 days. We view our Advisory Practice as a professional sport and we welcome your application if you're up for the challenge!

Responsibilities
  • Present to founders: teach the  sales and marketing frameworks on stage, with the finance and operations context that makes them work.
  • Make the frameworks land: translate frameworks into clear lessons that founders can apply immediately, across sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Diagnose business constraints: go deeper in intimate round-tables and sidebar conversations to help founders identify their core problem.
  • Study incoming cohorts: between events, research the next group of business owners and prepare rigorously for the room.
  • Hone your craft: run a retrospective after each event, answer founder follow-ups, and iterate on the format, materials, and presentation.
  • Strengthen your team: collaborate with peers across the Advisory Practice and ACQ, and help your teammates get better.
Requirements
  • Commands a room, large or small. Holds the stage, draws people out at the table, and fields hard questions live. Presence, not rah-rah charisma.
  • Deep in sales and marketing, fluent enough in finance and operations to read the whole business, and able to make it all simple.
  • Scaled or exited a business as an operator who owned the P&L, at least seven figures. You diagnose from having carried the number, not just advised on it.
  • All in and self-directed: fully committed with no outside company, energized by the prep between events as much as the stage.
  • Relentless about improving the craft, treating every event as a chance to get sharper.
  • Makes the whole team better, not just yourself, and easy to build with.
Results
  • Founders leave each event able to name the true constraint in their business
  • Founders experience a moment of clarity that changes how they think about their company and their role as CEO
  • Both days land: the presentation holds the full room, and the round-tables move each founder forward
  • Event satisfaction and engagement scores stay high, and founder follow-ups are answered promptly
  • Each event improves on the last through your retrospectives and iteration
  • You present on stage within your first 30 days
  • The advisory team performs better because of your contribution
Schedule
  • Between events, standard business hours spent researching incoming cohorts, answering founder follow-ups, running event retrospectives, and iterating on the material
  • On the two-day events, expect long days, roughly 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, plus preparation and debrief around them
Location
  • Las Vegas, NV (onsite)
  • Relocation support provided; short-term travel during relocation may be acceptable for the first one to two months
Compensation
  • $200,000 to $260,000 base salary plus up to 20 percent annual bonus
  • The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range…
