Premiums climb 15% a year, physicians are burning out, and patients have lost trust, even as new medicines such as immunotherapy and synthetic proteins make it possible to efficiently buy quality-adjusted life years. An insurance system built to pay for catastrophe, on the premise that no one can know who will get sick, cannot deliver the future of medicine;

it's no surprise its biggest priority is finding out how to deny more care. Misalignment runs through every layer. We believe it can only be fixed by owning all of healthcare. Prescience is a vertically integrated AI system where risk pricing, care delivery, and disease anticipation are redesigned from scratch. We are already seeing rapid organic adoption from employers, patients, and providers.

Prescience is a seed-stage company, most recently valued at $150M. It is backed by investors such as Bain Capital Ventures, Conviction, Pear VC, Greycroft, and Y Combinator. You will join the founding team and will work directly with the two brothers:
Rishab and Aditya Jain. Aditya earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and forwent a career in medicine to build Prescience. He was also a researcher at the Broad Institute. Rishab was named one of TIME's 25 Most Influential Teens at 13, won the Regeneron ISEF top award, and led two companies to successful acquisition before leaving Harvard to co-found Prescience.

Our number one priority is scaling to market demand. We move fast and need to move faster. We are looking for someone who is high horsepower, high throughput, and extremely resourceful to run operations across the company as we grow.

This is a founding role with an unprecedented level of ownership. You will pick problems, own them end to end, and see them through. In practice that means everything from standing up the processes that let us onboard employers and their employees in days instead of months, to owning finance and the flow of real dollars through the plan, to working with regulators, carriers, brokers, providers, and pharmacies, to hiring and building out the team beneath you.

You'll be expected to build a team of your own within your first six months.

Software does a lot of the work r job is to design the operations that make that possible: figure out what the process should be, run it by hand until it's understood, then work with engineering to automate it and move on to the next problem.

We're hiring one Founding Operations lead. We care much more about how you think than about your title, and we're actively looking for interesting backgrounds. People coming from Chief of Staff, Biz Ops, Finance, Consulting, or academic backgrounds (research or medicine) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Exceptional candidates demonstrate:

• Analytical rigor. You are deeply analytical and detail-oriented
• Ownership. You've run some process end to end
• Operating range. You’re comfortable with navigating multiple problem spaces in the same day
• Agency. You can identify gaps and execute for under defined / ambiguous problems
• Communication. You write and communicate clearly
• A bias toward systems. When you find yourself doing something twice, you build a process (preferably with AI)

In a single month at Prescience you'll help route millions of real dollars, onboard new employer groups, negotiate with providers and pharmacies, stand up dozens of new automations and processes, and hire the people who will run them with you.
