Special Projects, Founder Office

Back Ops builds AI operators that automate complex operational workflows for enterprise supply chain and logistics teams. Our platform is used by some of the world’s largest organizations to automate work across email, ERP, WMS, TMS, carrier portals, spreadsheets, and other business systems.

We’re looking for a technical builder to join our Founder Office and work directly with the CEO on our highest-priority initiatives.

The Founder Office focuses on new products, strategic customer initiatives, and opportunities that can meaningfully impact the company’s future.

This role is intentionally broad. You’ll identify customer problems, build prototypes, work directly with engineering and customers, and take projects from concept to production. Some projects will improve our existing platform, while others may become entirely new products or businesses.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, learning quickly, and working across technical and business problems.

• Design and build new products, internal tools, and AI-powered applications.
• Work directly with customers to understand workflows and identify opportunities.
• Prototype and validate new ideas quickly.
• Partner closely with engineering to bring successful concepts into production.
• Work across product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
• Own projects from initial concept through launch.
• Help evaluate new markets, technologies, and acquisition opportunities.

• A founding or early engineer.
• An early employee at a high-growth startup.
• A technical lead who has built products from zero to one.

You should be comfortable working in ambiguous environments, making decisions with limited information, and taking ownership without waiting for direction.

• Strong software engineering experience.
• Strong product instincts and customer empathy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to move quickly while maintaining a high quality bar.

• Previous startup founder experience.
• Experience shipping products from zero to one.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers.

You’ll work directly with the CEO on some of the company’s most important initiatives and have the opportunity to shape products from their earliest stages. Successful projects may grow into standalone product lines or new business units, with the opportunity to continue leading them as they scale.
