A leading medical institution is seeking a Grants
Specialist to support pre-award research administration activities, including proposal development, budget preparation, grant submissions, and sponsored research compliance.

Grants Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the full pre-award proposal process, including budget development, proposal preparation, institutional review, sponsor submissions, and compliance with sponsor and organizational requirements.
  • Guide grants, contracts, funding opportunities, sponsor regulations, and proposal requirements while serving as a primary point of contact for faculty, research staff, and external sponsors.
  • Support contract and grant administration through proposal analysis, financial planning, research portfolio management, award tracking, reporting, subaward coordination, and closeout activities.
  • Review, negotiate, monitor, and maintain grant and contract documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, private sponsor, and institutional policies.
  • Analyze funding trends, forecast research activity, support complex multi-investigator proposals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve research administration processes.
Grants Specialist

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in pre-award research administration, including budget development and proposal submission, with strong knowledge of National Institutes of Health (NIH) applications.
  • Experience supporting grants and contracts, interpreting sponsor guidelines, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing complex research proposals.
  • Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating with faculty, research teams, and external sponsors.
Shift:
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Hybrid:
    Onsite 2 days per week.
