Camp Dates: 6/22/2026 (Mon) – 8/14/2026 (Fri) (includes setup, breakdown, and orientation weekends)

Hours:
8:00 am – 6:00 pm (actual shifts vary)
Hourly Wage: $22.75 – $25.25 per hour (depending on experience and other factors)

Job OverviewAs a staff member, you will help run all facets of a self‑directed camp, building relationships with parents and children, training and inspiring a team, and overseeing day‑to‑day operations. This role is a training ground for future directors.

- Do you have the stamina to keep up with 4–12 year‑olds, and can you lift up to 30–40 pounds?

- Facilitate activities, make connections, and monitor safety and wellness.
- Support or lead activity spaces where campers self‑select.
- Assist in rotating support roles throughout camp.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively supervise campers.
- Maintain an organized and approachable activity space.
- Ensure compliance with camp policies.
- Record and report notable concerns or incidents, including injuries.
- Track camper allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Add daily updates and photos to camper profiles.
- At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 months experience in a camp, or 1 year in education or childcare.

- May be asked to chaperone off‑site field trips.
Job Requirements
- Past management or leadership experience preferred.
- On‑site management can be physically demanding; extended periods on feet, outdoors, and with physical exertion.
- Preferred:
Meets local Camp Director qualifications or is a former Steve & Kate’s employee.
- Follow all safety and health rules of the location.
- Organize and maintain clean activity spaces.
- Assist in camp set‑up and breakdown.
- Stand for long periods while supervising children and facilitating activities.
- Participate in athletic games.
- Where local regulations mandate, the position is eligible for sick time.
