EF Brett and Company, Inc. seeks a qualified and motivated Project Manager to manage/coordinate school and seismic retrofit construction projects throughout the Bay Area.
Requirements- B.S. degree in either Construction Management (preferred but not required) Business Accounting or Engineering.
- Ability to collaboratively work with others.
- Ability to develop a project schedule with MS project, Suretrak or Primavera.
- Ability to develop and submit payment applications.
- Ability to manage sub payable issuances to subcontractors and vendors.
- Ability to manage project costs and identify and negotiate change orders with owners and subcontractors.
- Competent with MS Office including Word and Excel.
- Strong computer and communication skills.

- Manage and schedule subcontractors.
- Ability to manage self-performed work to a budget.
- Prepare, maintain and manage job schedule.
- Maintain a safe workplace.
- Strong sense of urgency to bring in projects on time and on budget.
- Review all drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittals.
- Assure work quality; set standards for quality control.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- Field construction experience at supervisory level.
- Basic scheduling skills.
- Able to supervise and manage self-performed work.
- Excellent people skills – effective communicator.
- Knowledge of OSHA laws plus excellent safety record.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
