Superintendent, Construction

A well-established California General Contractor is hiring a Superintendent to help deliver retail and commercial projects across the Peninsula and wider California market.

This is a full-time, on-site role for someone who is comfortable owning the day-to-day field operations, managing subcontractors, driving schedules, and making sure projects are delivered safely, properly, and to a high standard.

The company has a strong reputation for long-term relationships, repeat clients, and delivering quality work across California.

• Running day-to-day field operations from project startup through closeout
• Managing subcontractors, foremen, inspections, deliveries, and site logistics
• Driving the project schedule, including weekly lookaheads and coordination meetings
• Making sure work is delivered in line with plans, specs, safety standards, and client expectations
• Leading daily huddles, foreman meetings, and jobsite safety meetings
• Resolving field issues quickly and communicating clearly with the project team
• Partnering with the Project Manager on scope, costs, changes, RFIs, and procurement
• Maintaining accurate project documentation through Procore, including daily reports, photos, logs, and RFIs
• Managing punch list, closeout, site cleanliness, and subcontractor performance
• Representing the company professionally with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams

• 6+ years of construction experience in a supervisory field role
• Strong field background with the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Experience running retail, big box, commercial, or similar fast-paced projects would be highly relevant
• Strong understanding of site logistics, sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
• Comfortable leading safety, quality control, inspections, and daily jobsite activity
• Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems before they impact the schedule
• Prior foreman or journeyman background would be a plus
• OSHA 30 preferred
• CPR / First Aid certification preferred
• Experience with Procore, MS Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook would be beneficial
• Solid job tenure
• Base salary from $125k–$155k depending on experience
