Project Director (Design and Construction)
PMA is a national real estate advisory firm that serves as owner’s representative for development, project and program management.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary interface with PMA clients and lead the client and project team through a successful process of strategic real estate planning, design, and construction of new buildings, tenant improvement buildouts, and facilities assignments.
- Lead all phases of the development and construction process, including master planning, budgeting, pre‑construction, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction/transition planning.
- Manage project teams, project controls, documentation, sequencing, and client expectations to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Handle financial aspects of projects, including development budgets, operations, cash flow and key metrics such as R/OC, IRR.
- Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with clients and other development, design and construction professionals.
- 15+ years of development and project management experience.
- Experience as an Owner’s Representative or Project Manager representing the interests of the developer or investor.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, construction documentation and construction/transition planning.
- Working knowledge of alternate materials/methods, construction costs, value‑engineering and building/occupancy laws.
- Analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving skills, with discretion in handling confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and executive presence.
- Self‑starter with a positive attitude and high personal integrity.
- Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence.
- Enthusiastic, disciplined and confident leader.
- Values fairness, transparency and consensus building.
