We are seeking a Project Executive to lead healthcare construction work, overseeing market strategy, business development, client relationships, project delivery, financial performance, team development, safety, and long‑term growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the healthcare market segment and drive growth across targeted clients and project opportunities
- Identify, pursue, and win new healthcare construction opportunities
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with healthcare clients, owners, designers, consultants, and trade partners
- Partner with pre‑construction, marketing, estimating, and executive leadership on pursuit and pricing strategies
- Lead pre‑construction strategy, bid process oversight, proposal support, and contract negotiation
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare regulations, delivery methods, market conditions, cost drivers, and project risks
- Provide executive oversight across multiple healthcare projects from startup through turnover
- Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, profitability, schedule, quality, safety, and risk
- Conduct regular project health reviews and resolve issues related to budget, schedule, staffing, contracts, and client expectations
- Negotiate contracts with owners and subcontractors to manage risk and protect project margins
- Serve as senior escalation point for owners, designers, subcontractors, and internal project teams
- Build, mentor, and develop high‑performing project teams
- Support recruitment, retention, staffing plans, and leadership development across the healthcare market
- Implement best practices related to lean construction, VDC, sustainability, self‑perform resources, and construction technology
- Reinforce safety standards and ensure consistent execution across active healthcare projects
- 15+ years of construction leadership experience
- Strong background leading healthcare construction projects
- Sacramento or Northern California healthcare construction experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Experience managing large, complex, and multiple simultaneous construction projects
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, project delivery methods, pre‑construction strategy, contracts, risk mitigation, and cost control
- Experience with business development, pursuit leadership, client management, and market positioning
- Proven ability to manage project financials, forecasting, profitability, budget, schedule, and project risk
- Experience negotiating owner contracts, subcontract agreements, and project terms
- Ability to build, lead, mentor, and retain high‑performing project teams
- Experience working with owners, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal executive leadership
- Familiarity with lean construction, VDC, sustainability, self‑perform resources, and construction technology preferred
- OSHA 10, LEED AP, DBIA, or similar certifications preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, client relationship, and problem‑solving skills
