Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Low Voltage Estimator to manage electrical estimates and cost consulting on Low Voltage B (Telecom, Security, Audio Visual, etc. 30 V and below) for our Central Estimating Team for our Data Center Clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Estimate at conceptual, programming and detailed level.
  • Assist on feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
  • Perform all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre‑qualification stage, producing bid lists, bid analysis, bid reports, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Participate effectively in post‑contract cost variances and change control processes; refer major changes to line manager.
  • Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
  • Produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present to client.
  • Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.
  • Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team when necessary and ensure delivery on all accountabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager; utilize marketing database.
  • Identify improvements for cost management procedures, templates, and products; refer ideas to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Low Voltage B (Telecom, Security, Audio Visual, etc. 30 V and below) on large, high‑value construction projects.
  • Good technical experience in all cost management areas: pre‑contract, post‑contract and final account.
  • College degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field, and/or field‑related experience.
  • Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Excellent communicator who thrives in a client‑facing role.
  • Good organization skills, ability to multi‑task, and be a team player.
  • Good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement.
  • Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering and life‑cycle costing.
  • Experience with key aspects of business development.
Additional Information

Salary range for this full‑time role: $130,000 – $160,000 per year (base salary only, not total compensation). This is a reflection of a fair and equitable offer and may vary based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
