Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Estimator to join our growing team in Northern California. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience within the commercial glass and glazing industry and a strong understanding of storefront, curtain wall, entrances, architectural glass, and specialty glazing systems. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids while working closely with vendors, project managers, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.
Salary: $110,000 – $135,000 Base Salary (DOE)
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial glazing projects ranging from $100K to $20M+.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform material takeoffs for:
- Curtain wall Systems
- Storefront Systems
- Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) (preferred)
- Metal Panels & Specialty Facades (preferred)
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Develop competitive proposals and bid packages.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Attend pre-bid meetings when required.
- Maintain relationships with architects, general contractors, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Coordinate project handoffs to operations after award.
- Track bid opportunities and maintain estimating records.
- 5+ years of commercial glazing estimating experience required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems and construction practices.
- Experience estimating storefront, curtain wall, entrances, and architectural glass packages.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, OST (On-Screen Takeoff), Auto Bid, or similar platforms

- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
