Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Cost Estimator to support cost estimating and proposal development for electrical and infrastructure-related projects. The role includes preparing quantity takeoffs, reviewing drawings and specifications, developing cost estimates, and supporting budgeting and bid preparation activities for public and private sector projects.
ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Cost Estimator will review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems and related infrastructure work. Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, subcontractor coordination, bid support, cost analysis, and preparation of estimate reports and spreadsheets. The role may also assist with change order reviews, budgeting support, and coordination with project managers and engineering teams.
Software& Skills
Candidates should have experience with Excel, estimating software, and construction cost tracking tools. Familiarity with electrical systems, public works projects, and construction drawings is preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
QualificationsExperience in electrical estimating, construction cost estimating, or related field preferred. Knowledge of public agency projects, prevailing wage, and utility or infrastructure construction is a plus. Competitive compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
Compensation$75/Hour – $80/Hour
