The role is a senior project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. The incumbent will manage two to four concurrent projects of small to medium crew size or one to two concurrent projects of large crew size, mentor team members, and maintain project objectives, policies, and performance standards.
Responsibilities- Provide overall project management support to concurrent projects.
- Train and provide direction to Project Assistants and/or Project Manager I, and maintain project-required tracking devices.
- Plan and organize project activities under senior oversight.
- Supervise and train Project Assistants and/or Project Manager I.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Negotiate terms and supervise the preparation of all change orders.
- Act as liaison with primary client and A/E to facilitate construction activities.
- Support construction activities on site with the Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure schedule and budget compliance.
- Anticipate, prevent, and resolve serious situations, implementing corrective measures within company guidelines.
- Represent the company in project meetings.
- Prepare and negotiate change quotations for presentation to the prime client.
- Prepare monthly costing reports and manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses).
- Assist with the development of new business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a project management role.
- Effective performance management and leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Oracle.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Professional interaction with all levels of employees, management, vendors, clients, and others.
Up to 25% of the time may be required for on‑site travel.
Working ConditionsThe role may be performed at a job site or in the office. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions. Noise levels vary from low to medium, with occasional louder situations position may require lifting up to 30 lbs.
