Assistant Project Manager

Entry‑level project management position; expected to learn and develop competency in essential duties and responsibilities, and provide administrative and construction support for the Project Management team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
  • Oversee project activities assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, resolving problem areas, and ensuring maintenance of company/project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain change orders, submittal, drawing control logs, and prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
  • Ensure contract submittals are accurate and timely.
  • Issue subcontractor contracts.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Ensure project quality control plan is followed.
  • Confirm correct documentation and drawings are obtained for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Update Warranty Log.
  • Attend project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., providing project management support.
  • Assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.
  • Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
  • Prepare price change orders and project reports and documentation.
  • Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned based on the role within the business unit.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and required methods.
  • Tactful, professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others.
  • Strong organizational, record‑keeping, and follow‑up skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer expectations and requirements.
  • Proficient using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Oracle preferred.
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple tasks, adjusting priorities as necessary.
  • Works under pressure, adapts to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective team player.
  • Engages professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
What you bring to us
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction‑related role.
  • Equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant work experience.
Travel

Up to 25%.

Working Conditions
  • Primarily on active construction sites. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
  • Work conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level typically low to medium.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Company complies with the ADA and applicable state law, including consideration of reasonable accommodations.

Pay Range

$79,600.00 – $ Annual
