Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager
As Project Manager, you will be part of a leadership team dedicated to directing the day‑to‑day management and technical oversight of a heavy civil project. Create a project plan that outlines tasks, timelines, and resources required to reach the project’s goals. Lead communication among stakeholders, manage risk, and monitor progress against the schedule. Successful candidates demonstrate a passion for and dedication to getting the job done.
Responsibilities- Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting.
- Have thorough knowledge of the company’s contracts and understanding of all parties involved.
- Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors.
- Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activity.
- Lead, train, and develop project team members.
- Prepare and submit monthly job status reports outlining project priorities and issues.
- Lead project close‑out, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with owners, engineering, and design firms.
- Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project.
- Drive a culture of safety on the project site.
- Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations.
- Provide leadership to foster inclusion and diversity.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, civil, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of construction experience; working for a general contractor on large‑scale construction projects is highly preferred.
- Heavy civil construction experience required, with emphasis on self‑perform work, concrete construction, electrical substations, and transmission & distribution.
- Ability to review, modify, and understand detailed designs, technical specifications, drawings, sequences of work, schedules, and logistics plans.
- Proficient with construction technologies such as Primavera, Procore, Bluebeam, SAP, etc.
- 2+ years of leading, developing, and motivating teams.
- Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project.
- Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
- Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
- Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors.
- Strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
