Construction Worker / Carpenter – Residential & Commercial

J Construction Solutions Inc. is a growing Bay Area construction company seeking a reliable and experienced Construction worker for commercial tenant improvements and residential remodeling/construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are looking for someone who has real construction experience, understands how to work on an active job site, can safely use tools, and is willing to assist wherever needed to keep projects moving.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general construction work including demolition, framing, site preparation, patching, and finish-related work
  • Assist with interior commercial and residential construction
  • Safely operate common hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
  • Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other skilled trades as needed
  • Read and follow basic plans, diagrams, measurements, and work orders
  • Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and perform basic installation work
  • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and equipment
  • Set up and protect work areas, including finished floors, walls, doors, and other completed surfaces
  • Inspect work areas, materials, and existing conditions and report defects or problems to the Foreman
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Follow OSHA requirements and all company safety procedures
  • Complete daily tasks assigned by the Foreman and work efficiently as part of a crew
  • Help with job-site cleanup and debris removal
Requirements
  • Previous construction or skilled-trade experience preferred
  • Interior commercial and residential construction experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic construction methods, materials, tools, and safety practices
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding construction work, with reasonable accommodation where applicable
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, carry materials, and remain on your feet throughout the workday
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with Foremen, coworkers, and subcontractors
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
