Construction
Estimator, Construction Sales, Construction Manager/ Foreman
Muro AI is transforming how the $2T construction industry plans and builds. Founded by civil engineers, Cornell alumni, ex-founders, and former McKinsey operators, we're building AI agents that automate the most complex, manual, and costly phase of construction: preconstruction.
We move fast, build with conviction, and obsess over delivering real impact to the people who build our world. If you want to shape how the next century of construction gets built, this is where it starts.
Position Summary
The Solutions Lead is the construction expert on the Muro team and the primary point of contact for our clients. This role is responsible for leading implementations at general contractors, driving adoption across preconstruction and project teams, and defining how Muro's AI agents perform construction work.
The position is client-facing and requires direct experience delivering projects at a general contractor. You will work alongside estimators, preconstruction managers, and project managers on live pursuits and active jobs, then translate what you learn into product requirements and automations for our clients. This is the first hire in the solutions function and reports to the founders.
Who This Is For
This is the role for the project manager, preconstruction manager, or senior estimator who has been the one pushing for better tools — the person who built the spreadsheet everyone else ended up using, championed the software rollout, or understands firsthand the pain of the existing solutions and processes.
You know the industry runs on manual work that shouldn't be manual. You've seen technology fail at your GC because whoever built it didn’t understand the workflow. This is the job where your expertise becomes the product, and where the tools you deploy get used because you designed how they work.
You don't need a technical background. You need to know how construction actually gets done, and to want that knowledge to change the industry rather than just deliver one more project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client implementations from kickoff through first production use, including scoping, configuration, training, and go-live
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned accounts; own adoption, satisfaction, and expansion
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and working sessions with preconstruction and project teams
- Configure Muro to each client's workflows and reporting standards, and serve as their trusted advisor on how to drive AI adoption across their organization
- Support the sales team on demos and pursuits where construction expertise is required
- Validate product output against real project conditions and work closely with Product and Engineering to define what "right" looks like for construction
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Direct experience delivering commercial construction projects, including estimating, bidding, buyout, subcontractor management, and project documentation
- Familiarity with the full project lifecycle from pursuit and preconstruction through handoff and closeout
- Proficiency with Procore, ACC, Building Connected, or comparable construction management platforms
- Hands-on use of AI tools in your day-to-day work, and a point of view on where they help and where they fall short in construction
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive client relationships at multiple levels of an organization
- Ability to lead meetings, deliver training, and present to senior stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
