Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction efforts by preparing budgets, cost estimates, bids, and proposals for commercial construction projects. This role will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate costing and successful project planning.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop project budgets and assist with bid and proposal preparation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and scope information.
- Participate in preconstruction, client, and project team meetings.
- Support schedule development, procurement planning, and project buyout activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of construction estimating experience, ideally with a general contractor.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with construction software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Building Connected, Destini, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
