As part of Charter Communications, Spectrum News produces original, unbiased, and high-quality content across traditional and digital platforms. We publish via the Spectrum News app and connected television and provide 24-hour news across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities- As a Photojournalist, work with a team of journalists to shoot and edit material for newscasts.
- Elevate stories by incorporating footage with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view.
- Collaborate to create compelling, timely, and accurate content for viewers across traditional and digital platforms.
- Tell stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital.
- Experience:
Shooting and editing television news footage – 5+ years - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience - Technical
Skills:
Operation of ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming - Skills:
Ability to clearly communicate solutions; ability to relate to diverse populations and ages - Abilities:
Positive attitude, willingness to solve problems; lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds; ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds - Travel:
Open to travel to discover important stories in your neighborhood and engage with the community - Schedule:
Ability to work different shifts and cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned - Licenses:
Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence
$20.00/hr - $43.30/hr
Preferred Qualifications- DSNG experience
- Works inside in a climate-controlled environment and outside year-round in various weather conditions
- Drives company vehicle to and from locations, obeying traffic laws
The base pay for this position generally is between $20.00 and $43.30. The actual compensation offered will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and some positions may be eligible for additional incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
