About the Team

The Pottery Barn Kids and Teen design team creates in-house designs for textiles, decorative accessories, and furniture. The color team is a key component of the design team. We ensure color consistency across all stages of development.

About the Role

This role supports the Color Manager and design team. The Color Coordinator assists in the organization of all color developments, updates and maintains the color library, communicates with cross-functional teams and vendors, and supports the Color Manager with color evaluations.

This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain color library including color standards, color approvals from vendors and submit all including lab dips, prints, and bulk
  • Communicate with agents and vendors regarding color developments, color corrections, and quality improvements
  • Track and manage submits and color developments
  • Update development reports
  • Use PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software
  • Create seasonal color palettes
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Product Development meetings
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely approvals
  • Assist with color evaluations for new/resourced developments, ensuring color consistency across categories
Criteria
  • Degree in fashion/design/textiles/fine art or relatable/applicable industry experience preferred
  • Ability to pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue color test
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Keen color acumen/ good eye for color
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Excited to gain product development skills in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office
