THE ROLE:
Temporary Junior Print Packaging Production Artist
You are a detail‑oriented, eager‑to‑learn Print Packaging Production Artist who supports the translation of creative ideas into accurate, production‑ready packaging and digital assets. As a key partner to the Creative team, you help ensure designs are executed with precision, consistency, and quality, while building a strong foundation in print and packaging production. This role reports to the Creative Operations Director and supports a large, high‑volume packaging project.
You will work closely with Senior Production Artist, Designers, and Creative Project Managers to execute packaging updates across multiple SKUs and formats. This is an ideal role for someone early in their production career who is excited to grow their technical skills, learn best practices, and contribute to a highly visible packaging ecosystem.
- Support the creation of accurate mechanical files for print and digital production, following established brand, regulatory, and printer specifications
- Execute routine packaging updates such as revisions, line extensions, reformulations, and SKU versioning under guidance; partner with Designers, Senior Production Artists, and Creative Project Managers to align on specs, timelines, and deliverables
- Manage routing, reviews, and revisions through online proofing systems, maintaining clarity and version control
- Prepare and release final files with oversight; review colour proofs and assist with virtual or live press checks
- Assist in building basic renders for digital and e‑commerce use and physical mock‑ups for internal presentations
- Execute photo editing and retouching tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Help maintain and organise digital asset libraries across DAM and shared platforms
- Follow established workflows, templates, and processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency

You are a motivated Junior Print Packaging Production Artist with a strong eye for detail and a growing passion for packaging and print production. You take direction well, ask thoughtful questions, and enjoy collaborating with designers and more senior production partners. You care deeply about craft and accuracy and are excited to learn how great packaging comes to life from concept to press.
You’re organized, dependable, and proud of the work you produce—even the smallest updates. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are eager to build your technical confidence while contributing to meaningful, real‑world projects.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Production Artist, with a strong focus on packaging and print production •
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with strong working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
- Foundational understanding of print and prepress workflows
- Some experience supporting packaging projects across one or more substrates (e.g., cartons, labels, boxes, shrink sleeves, film)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with guidance
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast‑moving environment - Eye for colour, typography, and layout; digital production experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Wrike, Microsoft Office, Bynder (DAM), and Ziflow (Proofing), or willingness to learn
HOURS:
Part time, 3 days per week, 12 months (temporary position)

RATE: $40‑50 /hour
