Puck is a company that moves beyond job descriptions to highlight the teams behind open roles. We add mini-podcasts to job descriptions. By building better profiles of candidates and employers, we help match people to people, not just resumes to job descriptions.
Choosing a job or hiring for one is up there with the most important decisions we make. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Producer to join the Puck team part-time and help us on our mission of building a better way to hire, finding people the right jobs, and making hiring human.
In this role, you’ll interview senior leaders across industries to create powerful, story-driven employer branding content for businesses. The ideal candidate has a sharp editorial instinct, knows how to identify the strongest narrative moments, and can craft tight, engaging content that resonates with professional audiences.
What You’ll Do:- Host and produce podcasts with senior leaders across industries
- Shape clear narratives that highlight leadership insights and brand positioning
- Coordinate timing for podcasts, and be available to work around external schedules
- Develop interview topics and questions based on publicly available information
- Remotely engineer interviews to optimize sound quality
- Mix audio and leverage tools to deliver studio-sounding audio (e.g. iZotope RX, Adobe Enhance Speech)
- Share insights back with the Puck team based on guest experience
- 1+ years professional experience in audio production, likely for a radio station or podcast
- Comfortable conveying interview-based stories in a clear and engaging way for listeners
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate and knowledgeable about audio storytelling, especially for branded content
- Skilled in hosting and engineering remote interviews
- Proficient with Pro Tools and Descript editing workflows
- Background in marketing content development
- Expected + 10 hours / week, with some variability
- Required availability to meet during business hours with guests of the podcast
If you’re passionate about storytelling through audio and enjoy turning long-form conversations into compelling employer brand content, we’d love to hear from you.
