Technical Designer Freelance Womens Wovens

We are working on a technical design role with a top fashion company in San Francisco. Role is onsite in their downtown office. Experience required:
Women’s Wovens, emphasis on woven dresses and skirts. Pattern‑making skills needed, Optitex, CLO and Centric PLM experience would be preferred.

Role is at least for 4 months – full‑time hours and hourly pay rate is approximately $40 an hour based on experience.

• This is an individual‑contributor role responsible for executing the technical design process from development through final fit. Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating garments to develop accurate fit specifications, ensuring products meet established quality standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost requirements.
• The Technical Designer develops technical specifications and communicates fit direction to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections, making necessary adjustments to maintain design integrity while monitoring quality and targeted pricing.
• The role typically reports to the Technical Services Manager and may oversee Assistant Technical Designers.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent experience is required.
• Apparel technical design experience in women’s wovens.
• PLM experience.
• Some form of 3D software would be helpful.
• Pattern‑making skills and needed software.
