AboutThe Role
In this role, you will drive the development of Male color, print and pattern identity for the brand. You will develop seasonal print and woven concepts using a CAD system to create repeats, colorways, and scale variations of both purchased and original artwork. You’ll need to partner closely with the design team and understand the brand aesthetic to achieve iconic and flawless concepts.
Whatyou'll do
- Create seasonal print concepts and build out relevant print/yarn dye/ embroidery pattern stories from that concept that are on brand
- Works closely with the concept team to deliver color palettes.
- Lead, develop and guide CAD Textile Designers and Associate Designers to build a highly talented and technically experienced team
- Ensure prints and yarn dyes are maintained in CAD system by team in multiple colorways and various sizes, maximizing efficiency and organization and meeting deadlines
- Collaborate and lead others in key initiatives and their implementation, engaging business leaders to maintain an understanding of business needs.
- Responsible for planning, budget, and end results; set policies and strategic direction for team
- Maintain an understanding of print and CAD technology trends in the market, provide relevant imagery to communicate print trends and set the strategy and vision for seasonal color/print boards and constantly aware of new and emerging pattern trends that meet the brand filter and used for chase/ fast.
- Oversee the preparation of artwork packages that comply with production ready standards, providing well defined recommendations to meet business requirements
- Expert knowledge of CAD systems/software/printers (Ned Graphics; Illustrator; Photoshop), MS Office and Excel, print and textile designs, color matching and creation of colorways
- Strong leadership, organizational, time management and communication skills
- Awareness of product development from conceptualization to finished design for textiles
- Evaluate sometimes complex situations using multiple sources of information (internal and external sources)
- Able to filter, prioritize, analyze, and validate potentially complex in‑depth understanding of concepts and procedures within computer aided design, textiles, fabric, and color, and understanding of procedures and concepts in other areas, such as design, merchandising and production.
Salary Range: $ - $
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
