Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Producer(Film and AV)

Luma Creative and Westwave AV are two sister companies working across film production and audiovisual event work. Our core is film — client shoots, branded content, and creative projects — with AV event work alongside it. We're a small, fast-moving shop where the person in this seat has real ownership and a direct line to the work that wins and delivers jobs.

The

role

We're hiring a remote Producer (except scouts/shoots) to help run our projects from the first client conversation to final delivery. This is a hands‑on producing role: you'll bid jobs, take discovery calls, produce shoots alongside the owner, and grow into running productions on your own. It's built for someone who wants ownership, not just tasks — the kind of person who can be handed a project and drive it forward.

What

you’ll do
  • Draft bids and estimates from our templates, priced and structured for review
  • Take discovery calls with prospective clients — understanding their needs, scoping the work, and setting the stage to win the job
  • Produce shoots and projects alongside the owner, taking on more ownership over time
  • Grow into running smaller productions independently, start to finish
  • Build and manage call sheets, schedules, crew and gear logistics, and budgets
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, crew, and vendors
  • Track project timelines and keep every job moving and on‑budget
  • Help coordinate AV event work alongside the team
  • Own the details that keep productions running smoothly
What we’re looking for
  • Extreme attention to detail — the single most important trait for this role. You double‑check everything and catch what others miss
  • A genuine self‑starter who takes ownership and moves on problems without waiting to be told
  • 3–5 years of film production, event production, or related experience
  • Comfort talking to clients — on calls, on email, and in person
  • Solid instincts around bidding, budgets, and pricing a job
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to run several jobs at once without anything slipping
  • Calm and resourceful under pressure; a natural problem‑solver
  • Willingness to learn the AV event side — no prior AV experience required
  • Bay Area–based, able to get to occasional local scouts and shoots
  • A reliable computer, internet, and transportation for the occasional field day
Nice to have
  • Experience owning bids or estimates in Quickbooks
  • Experience running productions solo or near‑solo
  • Familiarity with production or AV gear and workflows
  • Experience with client‑facing creative or agency work
Compensation & logistics
  • 14 days PTO + 7 paid sick days per year
  • Health insurance revisited at six months
  • Remote‑first, with mileage reimbursed for occasional scout and shoot travel
