The Lucky Ox is a New York based Asian American F&B brand reimagining Asian classics as modern craft sodas. From Vietnamese salted lemonade to pandan coconut and mango sticky rice, we're bringing classic cultural recipes into the spotlight as part of our goal to move Asian American food culture beyond the most common denominator safe flavors. We've made waves in the industry thus far due to our brand: the combination of branding, flavors, approach is incredibly unlike anything previously seen in F&B when we first launched early 2025.
Aboutthe role
You'll work directly with our founders to develop content and creative assets that introduce people to The Lucky Ox. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to gain experience taking a creative concept to a finished ad product which can include a short video, product photograph, or ad campaigns in retail (Costco, Whole Foods, etc.). You should bring a strong visual eye, an interest in food and culture, and enthusiasm for building a consumer brand.
You don't have to be skilled in all of these categories, we're learning everything on the fly and you'll join us on that too. What we're looking mostly for is a design forward eye and baseline skills in editing tools:
Cap Cut, Canva, or any tools in the Adobe suite.
- Social media:Brainstorm and create Instagram and Tik Tok content, write captions, support the content calendar, and identify relevant trends.
- Graphic design:Design social graphics, digital ads, launch announcements, and promotional materials that feel consistent with The Lucky Ox's visual identity.
- Photography and video:Help plan, style, shoot, and edit product and lifestyle content, including behind-the-scenes moments and brand events.
- Ad campaigns:Support campaign concepts, create variations of images and videos for testing, and help review results with the founders.
We'll set priorities together each week so assignments fit within the 10–15 hour commitment.
What we're looking for- An interest in social media, design, photography, and consumer brands.

- Clear communication, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
- Openness to feedback and a willingness to pitch your own ideas.
- Experience with food and beverage content, paid social advertising, or product photography is a plus. Class projects, personal creative work, and student organization experience all count.
- You'll be working on high stakes brand campaigns, live marketing materials going into retail chains such as Costco, Whole Foods, etc.
- Practical experience connecting creative work with marketing strategy.
