- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- Experience contributing to mature design systems including component design, documentation, and education.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- 2 years of experience leading design projects.
- Experience with emerging AI technologies, leveraging advanced tools to accelerate design iteration and drive product innovation.
At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a UX Interaction Designer, you’ll join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
You’ll always start from a user-centered app-first mindset to drive intuitive, highly engaging user journeys for our products. You’ll bring a builder's mindset with strong craft and the ability to make design decisions that result in a coherent user experience while also assessing for execution, longevity and scale of designs. You’ll have an aesthetic sensibility, understanding relevant trends to make design decisions that increase the overall appeal of our product set.
You’ll be a systems thinker with the ability to analyze existing landscapes and consider how factors or components interrelate with each other and within the context of larger systems. You’ll bring AI fluency to effectively interact and prototype with AI tools, understand core AI concepts and limitations and critically assess desired outputs for accuracy.
On the Google Images team you will help reimagining what it means to search and explore the world’s visual information – any way, anywhere and in ways that are hyper-personalized, multimodal and intelligent using the best of AI. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
