JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for optimistic, creative, and enthusiastic Customer Service Representatives to join the FITNESS SF team. The basic function of the Customer Service Representative is to simply give fantastic customer service. This is a part-time hourly position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Quality Customer Service
- Check-in members and guests while providing outstanding service
- Greet members and guests with a smile and make eye contact
- Introduce yourself to members and learn their names and use accordingly
- Actively listen to members, properly handle requests and if needed, transition them to personnel that may be able to give them proper service
- Answer all phone calls with the proper protocol
- Offer assistance to members at the Front Desk in a diplomatic fashion
- Respond to member questions in a professional and articulate manner
- When necessary, tactfully remind members of gym etiquette
- Sell members and guests requested services, passes and/or retail items
- Process Guest Passes and out of town FITNESS SF Travel programs
- Front Desk Area Management
- Inspect condition of the Front Desk and Retail areas
- Notify management of broken or malfunctioning equipment
- Count, report and stock the required inventory as directed
- Coordinate your actions on inventory and taking breaks with the other Front Desk staff and General Manager
- Perform “Jungle Runs” and check email daily
- Retail and Services Sales
- Sell short term memberships of one month or less and other services
- Book and register all required service sessions
- Assist managers when requested
- Properly handle Appointments, Walk-Ins and Telephone Inquiries
- Provide retail service in the Pro Shop
- Member Interaction
- Keep contact with members and guests professional and courteous
- Observe common courtesy with all members
- Promote FSF Membership, Group Fitness and Personal Training Programs
- Use FITNESS SF sales methods, training tools, scripts and systems properly
- Customer Service/Sales Experience (preferred but not required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess honesty and personal integrity
- Possess passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding the fitness industry
- Excel in time management, organizational and follow-up skills
- Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic, and friendly
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Position duties require standing for long periods of time, squatting, reaching, walking, and the ability to lift 45 lb weights
