Position

Community Concierge – Full time.

Location:

San Francisco, CA. 40 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday 2pm-10:30pm. Base pay $46,400–$65,500.

Overview

Avalon Bay Communities is a leading REIT that manages apartment homes. The Concierge leads front‑desk operations, creating a welcoming environment for residents and prospects.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the face of Avalon Bay and frontline customer service at the front desk.
  • Monitor foot traffic, coordinate with leasing and maintenance teams to support the move‑in/move‑out process and daily resident needs.
  • Implement programs to improve resident satisfaction and maintain high service standards.
  • Provide information, directions, and personalized recommendations to residents, vendors, and prospects.
  • Handle multiple tasks, manage time‑sensitive requests, and maintain composure and positivity.
  • Manage phone messages, resident packages, maintenance requests, and other administrative duties using company software and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in hospitality, retail, or restaurant settings preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time‑management, organization, and patience.
  • Ability to walk and move packages and deliveries across the property.
