Onboarding specialist is the first person every new hire meets thereby making them the face of the company forall ofour newest team members.

You’rethe person who makes sure their paperwork isright,their approvals come through, and their first dayfeels seamless and welcoming— so they start the job feeling like someone was expecting them.

• Verify the paperwork.
  
  Complete employment eligibility verification for every new hire, accurately and on deadline
• Check credentials.
  
  Driver’s licenses, insurance eligibility, andalltherole specific documentation
• Move approvals forward.
  
  Track new hires through platform driving approval, chase what’s outstanding, and flagwhat’sstuck.
  
  Work with HR to keep things running smoothly
• Run Day 1.Deliver orientation on how we work — policies, safety, timekeeping, breaks, and what the jobasks.
  
  Guide the new hires through the day’s agenda while answering their questions and keeping everyone on schedule
• Train people into their roles.
  
  Walk new hires through the tools,software and procedures they’lluse, and make surethey’reready before they’reon their own
• Keep the pipeline moving.
  
  Follow up so nobody stalls between steps. Escalate exception cases to appropriate department leads
• Stay on top of Documentation.
  
  Follow established daily documentation routines to keep employee files complete,accurate, and correctly filed

• A year or more in HR support, onboarding, admin coordination, or customer service — or equivalent experience
• You’reaccuratewith paperwork, and you understand why that matters
• You can explain something clearly to someone who’sneverheardit before, including people working in a second language
• Workingproficiencywith HRIS or onboarding software and spreadsheets, and demonstrated ability to learn new operational tools quickly.
  
  Youhandle people’s personal information with care
• Open to work overtime on acase by casebasis
• Dependable and on time — Day 1 starts whenit'sscheduled, and new hires are waitingonyou. Steady and professional when thingsdon'tgo to plan

No degree required. No HR certification required.

• You’vecompleted I-9s or employment verification before
• You speak
  
  Spanish fluently
• Onboarding experience in transportation,logistics, delivery, or a platform business
• Working knowledge of Californiabreakand timekeeping rules
• aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP

$20.50 to $22.00 per hour.

This is the good-faith rate we expect to pay for this position on hire.

This role is overtime eligible— time and a half past 8 hours a day or 40 a week. Overtime is occasional rather than routine.

We also offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and California paid sick leave.

Mostly an office role, with time on your feet delivering training and occasional trips out to the yard.

You’ll occasionally move materials up to 25 pounds.
