We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. This floating position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing efficient front desk operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic workflows, delivering outstanding patient service, and maintaining accurate medical records.

  • Dental related experience preferred, but not necessary
  • 8 Hour Infection Control course approved by the Dental Board

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clean exam rooms
  • Sterilize tools and equipment
  • Assist the dentist during treatment
  • Take X-rays and process scans
  • Make dental impressions and temporary crowns
  • Teach patients good oral care
Front Desk Support Duties
  • Greet arriving patients and check them in
  • Answer phone calls and reply to messages
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Check patient insurance and process billing details
  • Update medical charts safely under privacy rules
  • Order office and dental supplies
Team Player in helping others
  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments using Open Dental.
  • Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing treatment rooms and managing dental supplies with precision
  • Collect payments, process medical and dental billing, and perform insurance verification including CPT coding, and documentation review
  • Maintain accurate patient records, update health information management systems, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; handle appointment scheduling and patient inquiries efficiently
  • Support medical administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records
  • Facilitate intake processes for new patients and assist to optimize patient flow and office management
