Junior Interior Designer

Rise Up Home is an interior design studio that focuses on creating livable and functional spaces looking for a part-time Junior Designer to join our team.

The Junior Designer role is the perfect blend of mentorship and independence;
You will assist the senior designers with larger high-scope projects by providing design support, working on all project design phases and collaborating closely with designers, contractors and clients. Concurrently you will also take the lead on smaller design schemes under the tutelage of the principal designer working towards becoming a lead designer.

• Support senior designers on all phases of the design process of residential projects
• Produce 3D models using Sketch Up
• Create space plans and assist with technical drawing packages
• Prepare design presentations and materials
• Contribute to preparation of construction documents including plans, elevations, details and specifications
• Take ownership of small projects with defined scope and ensure design integrity and precision
• Sourcing materials and selections that fit the design goals
• Procurement and ordering of materials
• Site visits and inspections

• 2+ year experience in a design role
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field (AAS or higher)
• Must be in Bay Area and have reliable transportation
• Experience with high-end residential projects and construction
• Strong knowledge of technical drawings, renderings and space planning
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Clickup, Google Suite, and Canva.
• Self starter and team player- reliable, dependable with strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently from home as well as collaboratively in team
• Exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills.
• Must be detail oriented with great time management and ability to multitask across multiple projects
