Brereton is seeking a talented Intermediate Architect to join our San Francisco studio. This is a key project team role, responsible for supporting design development and technical documentation across commercial interior and architectural projects. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers, Job Captains, and Senior Designers to help move projects from concept through construction with clarity, precision, and strong design execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to the development of design concepts and presentation materials
  • Produce detailed drawing sets in Revit from SD through CD phases
  • Assist with the coordination of consultants and internal team members
  • Support code research and documentation (ADA, BOMA, local codes)
  • Develop plans, elevations, sections, and details with a strong technical foundation
  • Participate in client meetings and consultant coordination calls
  • Assist with construction administration tasks: review submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits
  • Maintain organized project files and support adherence to in-house standards
  • Collaborate with junior staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented studio environment
What You Bring
  • 3–6 years of experience in architecture and interiors, ideally with commercial office projects
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketch Up (Podium a plus)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, detailing, and building codes
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
  • Progress toward architectural licensure is preferred but not required
  • 85% employer-paid health coverage + $5,000 annual HRA (starts 1st of the month after hire)
